Browse folders inside an archive, search and sort its contents, preview supported text and image files, test archive integrity and extract the files you choose. Archive processing runs on your computer without an account or application telemetry.

About the application

A local Windows workspace for browsing, creating and extracting archives.

Create ZIP, 7Z, TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.XZ and TAR.BZ2 archives from files and folders. ZIP and 7Z support AES-256 password encryption; 7Z can also hide filenames. Browse, test and extract supported single-volume RAR archives, but do not create RAR files. ZIP AES requires a compatible reader and is not promised to work in Windows Explorer.

Extraction offers keep-both, skip and replace choices, checks unsafe paths before writing, and preserves the source archive. Creation publishes the completed archive atomically. Integrity testing is not malware scanning. Archive repair, split volumes, self-extracting executables and editing entries in existing archives are outside this release's scope.

Optional RegumAI access starts disabled. Share specific archive/source paths, approve an output folder and review each proposed extraction or creation in RegumArchive. Archive passwords remain local; shared metadata may be processed by providers you authorize in RegumAI.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 x64 and Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. The signed installer includes an offline WebView2 installer for computers where the runtime is missing. The application interface is in English.

What you can do.

  • Browse archive folders, search names, filter entry types and sort file listings.
  • Preview supported text and PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and BMP images without launching external applications.
  • Extract selected entries or a whole archive with keep-both, skip and replace collision choices.
  • Create ZIP, 7Z, TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.XZ and TAR.BZ2 archives from local files and folders.
  • Encrypt ZIP and 7Z contents with AES-256; optionally encrypt filenames in 7Z archives.
  • Test supported archives, inspect available integrity results and read single-volume RAR archives.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts, dark and light themes, local pins/history and optional per-user Explorer integration.
  • Connect RegumAI only after opt-in, explicit path grants and app-owned review of each proposed write.

Version 1.0.0

RegumArchive 1.0.0 includes local archive browsing, previews, integrity tests, selected extraction and six creation formats. ZIP and 7Z support password encryption, while single-volume RAR is read-only. This rebuilt release includes the reviewed RegumAI companion workflow and fixes to extraction source protection, fragmented local requests, stale archive identities and access revocation. The installer is signed and timestamped by RegumWeb OÜ, installs for the current Windows user and includes the offline Microsoft Edge WebView2 installer. The interface is in English. Archive processing runs locally; optional RegumAI metadata sharing requires separate setup and permission. Keep source archives until extracted output is verified. Integrity testing is not malware scanning. If you use the earlier 1.1.0 beta, uninstall it explicitly before installing 1.0.0. Keep your source archives and verify extracted files.

Release notes
Regum Music 1.0.0 is now publicly available as a Windows x64 installer signed by RegumWeb OÜ. Freeware for personal and business use. This release includes automatic missing-file cleanup, song/album/artist metadata editing, playlist and queue improvements, and playback fixes. Close Regum Music and connected AI clients before upgrading, and back up your existing profile. The installer preserves your library, playlists and settings; uninstalling preserves the profile too. Supported audio formats are MP3, FLAC, PCM WAV, Ogg Vorbis, AAC/M4A and AIFF. DRM-protected audio is not supported. Online downloads and optional third-party AI connections require their own setup and network access.

RegumPDF 1.0.0 was rebuilt on 27 October 2026 after a codebase and beta-readiness review. It includes fixes to local export safety, reviewed RegumAI operations and interface reliability. The Windows x64 installer is signed by RegumWeb OÜ. Verified platform: Windows 11 x64. The interface is in English. Setup installs for the current Windows user and bundles Microsoft Edge WebView2 for offline installation when needed. Save your work and close RegumPDF before installing. The optional RegumAI connection remains a preview and is off by default. Choose an approved export folder and approve each export in RegumPDF. Unattended imports and cross-application automation are not included.
